I2 Fast, Hemel Hempstead
i2 FAST is a scientific laboratory in Hemel Hempstead, providing pesticides, microbiology, contaminants and nutritional testing for the food and allied industries. They got in touch with us to discuss their aspirations for a fit out on two levels of office space. The ground floor is a 14,000 sq ft food testing laboratory and the first floor a 10,000 sq ft office and large break out canteen area. With the laboratory environment on the ground floor, our key consideration needed to be cleanliness and hygiene, so we opted for a scientific and procedure-led design. They wanted the first floor to feature a much more modern and bold design, so we combined functionality and style whilst still portraying the professional and corporate culture.
